CHRIS MITCHELL FOR FLAMSTEAD
END, ROSEDALE & TURNFORD
CHRIS MITCHELL CHOSEN AS YOUR CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE IN THE HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTIONS ON 4TH JUNE
Chris Mitchell, a former Borough Councillor, married to Anthony, has lived in the Borough for 12 years and during that time has involved herself fully within the community.
She regularly attends St Augustine’s Church, is a Board Member of Broxbourne Housing Association, a governor of two local schools, has taught at Hertford Regional College and was actively involved in the development of the expanded school at Wormley.
Following a successful career in finance she will use her skills to ensure that taxpayers receive quality services and value for money. Chris says “I will ensure that during this recession everything is done to support those hardest hit and that the public sector provides opportunities and help whilst not creating financial burdens on those least able to afford it.”
Chris conscientiously represented Wormley and Turnford Ward, as a Borough Councillor, and during that time met many residents. She was Vice Chairman of Finance and Personnel Committee and regularly participated in Neighbourhood Forums.
Chris regularly assists Charles Walker, MP at his advice surgeries which many local people attend. She says “I look forward to listening to your hopes and concerns.”
Chris says “I am a keen advocate of activities for young people, particularly the extension of play areas and youth facilities. I am aware of the pressures that a shortage of facilities and amenities place on communities; people of all ages need to feel safe, enjoy where they live and have local places to meet and socialise.”
