Working With You

Once again I am asking for your support on June 4th for the County Council Elections.
My priority, if elected, will be to continue to listen and act upon your concerns.
I will keep a watchful eye to ensure that your interests are well represented, and in these difficult times that your money is used wisely.

I have been your councillor since l985, with my long experience and a member of the County Council’s cabinet I know how and where decisions are made. This means that I am well placed to fight for and influence things that are important to you.

I want you as a local resident to feel confident that I can be a source of support and information when you have a problem.

My special responsibility on the Council is to ensure children are kept safe from harm. Over the last four years I have succeeded in getting more money than ever before to support all children to get the very best start in life, enjoy their childhood and feel well able to become confident young adults.

Like you I value the rural character and quality of life in this part of the County.
I will continue to support the actions (through the Courts) of the Conservatives at County Hall in objecting to the disastrous Labour Governments plans for massive housing development proposed in the Eastern Regional Plan. YES, urgently we must meet the need for more social housing, but NO to the impossibly high numbers being proposed. The threat of the unnecessary second runway at Standsted Airport hangs over us. You can be assured that a Conservative County Council will be a major player in opposing the application every step of the way.
