Brian Lee has been selected as the candidate for The Colneys (division 52)Brian has lived in London Colney since 1990 with his wife Margaret and their son, Graham. You can contact him on 01727 826397. He worked as a cinema manager for 34 years with the Rank Organisation, finishing his career at the Odeon St. Albans when the cinema finally closed down in 1998.
Brian has been a governor of Francis Bacon School as well as Chairman of the Friends of Francis Bacon, and has been actively involved with local village issues and school commitments; he is a regular deliverer of Meals On Wheels in London Colney. Brian was previously chairman of the London Colney Village Open Day committee and regularly assisted with village and New Year’s Eve activities.

There are many issues of concern facing the residents of London Colney and Colney Heath.

I am particularly concerned about:

Crime & Vandalism: we need more visible community policing and more activities for our young people.

Litter and flytipping: particularly at Tyttenhanger Road and Coursers Road in Colney Heath and at the McDonalds in London Colney.

Poor road and pavement maintenance: Conservative controlled Hertfordshire County has been working hard on improving our roads; however, there is much still to be done. As your County Councillor I will work to ensure that our local roads are a priority.

There are too many pressures on the green belt with excessive house-building. Only Conservatives will protect our Green Belt.

I will take a high profile role and be accessible to all residents. I take a keen interest in local issues – but can understand the wider implications. I am tenacious and will work hard to achieve improvements in our villages.

Promoted by Louise Hector on behalf of Brian Lee, both of 104 High Street, London Colney, Herts AL2 1QL
