Michael Muir has been selected as the candidate for Letchworth Eat & Baldock (division 38) you can contact him on 01462 892222
Michael has worked in Letchworth Garden City for 42 years. He opened his shop in 1967.
Michael is married to Mary and moved to Baldock in 1990 from Norton Way South, Letchworth. His background provides him with unique knowledge on issues that affect both towns.
Michael says “I am very concerned about the recent upsurge in antisocial behaviour and will be working hard to ensure there is a better emphasis on regular policing that is visible. I want to combine this with increased youth facilities and to crack down on petty crime”.
Michael is currently both a County and District Councillor. Over the last four years at County he has served on the Highways, Waste, Development Control, Environment and Scrutiny committees. This work, coupled with his role on North Herts means that Michael has a vast knowledge of the workings of local government.
Michael is a well-respected councillor; he is a past Chairman of North Herts District Council.
Michael is an active campaigner, whether it concerns education, policing, health or roads, he is always hard working for Letchworth and Baldock. Over the last four years 14 roads have been resurfaced on his ‘patch’, and there is a promise of more.
