Russell Thomas, 55, has lived in Hertfordshire since 1977 and is married with a 13-year-old daughter. He has been actively involved in the area both as the recent owner of a local Garden Centre in Goffs Oak and as a Broxbourne borough councillor for that ward. He has had previous experience on Hertfordshire County Council when he served as a Councillor for Waltham Cross from 1997 to 2001

This government has not fulfilled it’s promises on education and I am determined to see that the educational requirements in this area meet the needs of the community, to obtain the best value and services, create a environment where schools are free from disruption, accountable by results, where parents and teachers work together.
I believe that the pressures placed by this government for more housing in the green belt, should be strongly resisted and a fairer system of allocation should be encouraged.
If elected, I would support the continuation of this council’s excellent record of good financial management over the last six years and ensure that it’s services are delivered efficiently and economically to the residents.
I ask for your support and the opportunity to represent you at County Hall.”

Promoted by Mark Shaw on behalf of Russell Thomas, both of 76 High Street, Hoddesdon, Herts EN11 8ET
