Stephen Mark Holmes has been elected to represent the people of Hemel Hempstead Town (division 14)

Steve is a Deputy Exec. to Jane Pitman for Children's Services.

Steve also serves the community as a Borough Councillor in Dacorum representing the Woodhall Farm Ward.

Steve was born in 1951 and has lived Hemel Hempstead for the last 32 years, is married to Linda, and has a daughter in her 20s.

He has been an engineer and presenter for the BBC, a marketing manager for numerous companies and a School Governor for 14 years.

He ran his own business in the Old Town for 12 years. His local knowledge has made him a popular member of the local community.

As a Borough Councillor he is a trustee of his local Community Centre and The Hemel Day Centre for the elderly. He serves the Borough as Vice Chair of Development Control and Strategic Planning & Regeneration Committees. He is a governor of Hemel Hempstead School.

A jovial character with a good sense of humour, Stephen has a reputation for getting things done.

Stephen believes in the old adage “Action speaks louder than words – it’s a must for all Councils nowadays”.
Now elected, I will fight for Hemel Town
To save hospital services in Hemel Hempstead for all residents.
To improve policing and reduce crime within the division.
Rebuild a college in Dacorum for 16 to 19 year olds with vocational skills.
Regenerate the Town Centre and Civic Zone with a new library, entertainments venue and children’s play facilities.
To improve road infrastructure across the area.
Support a Fire Brigade and Ambulance Service to be proud of.
Reject further erosion of Green Belt and promote Brown Field and infill where possible.
Support the provision of the highest quality of education.
Fight for the interests of the elderly and disabled to maintain their independence.
