Stuart is the Cabinet Member for Highways & Transport which covers Highways, Road Safety, Rights of Way, Local Transport Plans and Passenger Transport Stuart Pile lives in Hatfield with his wife Marian. They have 2 grown up children, and 3 grandchildren. He has been involved in local politics for many years, and was a Welwyn Hatfield councillor and Executive Member until 2007. At the County Council, he represents the people of Hatfield South (Division 75), consisting of the WHBC Districts of Hatfield South, Welham Green and Hatfield West. “I am a full time experienced local councillor, working for local people, here in Hatfield and across Hertfordshire. I believe that responsible politics should be about the facts, telling people the truth and being positive, even if that means not always being able to give everyone what they want.” Stuart has been the County Council Executive member for Highways, Transport & Rural Affairs since 2005. He is a Governor at De Havilland Primary School, and Chair of the Resources Committee, a Member of the Management Committee of the Park Education Support Centre and a Board Member of Groundwork Hertfordshire.
